Photo Point Monitoring

Photo Point Monitoring (PPM) is a powerful technique that can be used to monitor specific resources of interest. It allows for detailed analysis of change over time of such things as vegetation, stream beds, soil erosion, and more. It can be used to show, for instance, how a restoration project changes over time, or a before and after look of a development project.

Taara Environmental can create PPM systems for specific conservation or development projects and, if desired, teach individuals how to conduct future monitoring. We are primarily involved in short-term projects due to the complex issues of long-term data storage. Taara Environmental offers both conventional and digital PPM services. The digital process was co-created by Mr. Durand as a major project at Royal Roads University.
