Nature Conservancy of Canada Baseline Inventory and Management
Plan
 Taara Environmental has been contracted
to write a baseline inventory and managment plan for the 380 acre Daphne Ogilvie Nature Reserve near Clinton BC. Home to over 90 species of birds and numerous species (such as Western Toad - photo) and ecosystems at risk, this project will inventory and map the reserve and help guide the NCC in future managment options.
Sensitive Habitat Inventory
Mapping (SHIM) for the City of Abbotsford.
 Taara
Environmental is currently conducting detailed mapping
of much of the City of Abbotsford's Environmental Development
Permit Area. Since 2005 staff have been mapping watercourses, wetlands,
and ponds throughout several thousand hectares of McKee Peak, Sumas Mountain, Vedder Mountain and barious urban green areas. Mapping includes detailed measurements
and descriptions of watercourses, fish presence, and
rare species occurrences. To date, over 300km of creeks
and streams, 100 hectares of wetlands, and about 1,500
occurrences of rare and endangered species have been
mapped.
