Environmental offers Sensitive
Habitat Inventory Mapping (SHIM) services. Our staff
has experince conducting extensive mapping projects
for clients such as the City of Abbotsford and the Department
of Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
 Taara
Environmental is currently conducting detailed mapping of much of the City of Abbotsford's Environmental Development Permit Area. Since 2005 staff have been mapping watercourses, wetlands, and ponds throughout several thousand hectares of McKee Peak, Sumas Mountain, Vedder Mountain and barious urban green areas. Mapping includes detailed measurements and descriptions of watercourses, fish presence, and rare species occurrences. To date, over 350km of creeks and streams, 100 hectares of wetlands, and about 1,500 occurrences of rare and endangered species have been mapped.
